September 19, 2009

For those of you not attending, you missed out on really good BBQ brisket and sausage, not hot dogs as advertised.  Ryan, the Mission Jeep co-ordinator, went overboard making us welcome:  blocking off half of their parking lot, lunch, the Spurs Coyote, a terrific balloon artist, secure parking for those with tow vehicles and even a vintage airplane fly over.

We had 20 member Jeeps on display plus 3 visitors; Patrick & Mary G. joining on the spot.  Many of our new members came out to show off their Jeeps.   Over 40 enjoyed the day, chatting as we always do.  Thanks to Josh E. for the tent canopy that he set up to give us some shade.  How many chairs and people can you get under a 10’ x 10’ tent?

Mission Jeep wants to do this on a regular basis; be ready for the next one... and don’t miss it.

Members attending:  Geoff, Rosie, daughter Holly & grand niece & nephews, Robert, Sue, son Andy & grandkids, Mike & Amanda, Jim M, Josh P, Gene, Jason L, Jerry, Shawn, Larry, Marq & Patty, Clay, Melissa, Patrick & Mary, Lee Z, Steve B & daughter, Val, Vallery, daughter Ana & grandson Shane, Josh E & friend Michelle, Jack & Connie
